There are many pool owners that are forever searching for the greatest pools. If you have a large enough property and want to do something spectacular; how about a man made cave? You begin with the idea of a rock wall and waterfalls, but instead of having your little mountain staying hollow on the inside or even being solid, you leave an opening that you can either access by going through the waterfall or by diving under water to reach it. The entire cave is still part of the swimming pool and has both a small portion of the pool to call its own and a space for whatever you would like to have in there. This can be a small fire pit or even a bed.

This hidden alcove is in use in many pools in Hollywood and they belong to some of the most famous people in the world. You can create your own little hidden place for yourself just like the movie stars do. Keep in mind that if you choose to include a fire pit for your pool design that you will need ventilation for such things. To put it into aspect, imagine a pool house in the shape of a hollowed out cave. In this case, the “pool house” has part of the pool inside of it and your waterfall is the screen door.
